The history of the vineyard

We started a few years ago, with the aim of producing a wine that was an expression of the terroir, of our taste and our culture and, above all, a sincere and "natural" wine, in every way: natural, because it represents its place of origin, the characteristics of the land itself and the character of the grapes, and natural, because it is obtained with a trditional method, through the refermentation in bottle that refines the aromas with time.

To do this, we certified ourselves organic and we planted a new vineyard, so that, since the beginning, the vines could be taken care of as well as possible: from pruning to the harvest, every agricultural practice is done by hand and set up on the observation of the plant and on the interpretation of the information it gives to us.

We didn't stop there, though.

The wine

We take care of the vineyard according to the organic specifications and we apply the principles of biodynamic agriculture. Our grapes, black and white, are typical of our territory. We produce natural wines, refermented in bottle and with minimum sulphite content, using a naturl method and without filtering, to preserve the original taste of the local grapes.

From Barghi, Maestri, Marzemino and Grasparossa grapes we get Lambro, our sparkling red wine;

From Spergola and Malvasia grapes we obtain Gola, our sparkling white wine.

The health of our plants and of our land is linked to the creation of biodiversity, something difficult to put into practice in a monocultural context. It is with this in mind that our objectives have become more ambitious and we have aimed at creating a more complex agricultural organization. Thus were created: our organic garden, where we grow many vegetable crops, with techniques aimed at increasing the fertility of the soil and the population of beneficial microorganisms, our fields cultivated with ancient varieties of soft wheat and durum wheat, for the recovery of the nutritional qualities of wheat, and finally our bee families, protecting the delicate balance on which the farm is based. The creation of favorable conditions for vines, in terms of fertility, diversity, reappearance of useful insects and birds, the presence of forests and protective hedges, etc., makes them stronger and more resistant to the climatic conditions of these years and to the most typical diseases, allowing us to reduce treatments, and hopefully, long-lived as we once saw.

So here is how we became wine growers-vegetable growers, and today we can provide a range of quality products, from vegetables to honey, from sauces to bread, each of which is somehow present in our bottles.
